Ideally everyone writing something will have it beta'd before posting, but it can be hard for some folks to find a beta when assignments need to be secret. To get around this, we will have two systems in place this round.

Please note that betas who have volunteered below are likely only volunteering for beta jobs related to this or possible other exchanges, not to just beta things in general.

People who are willing to beta if asked should fill out the form below and post it in a comment on this entry. You don't have to be logged in! You will need to provide some kind of contact information.

• You do not have to be signed up to beta! In fact, it's a great way to contribute to the event if you aren't signed up.
• If you're a participant with a regular beta who isn't your recip, you can use them, of course!
• If you post a comment to be a beta and later change your mind, feel free to remove it. (Or, if you had to post the comment anonymously, contact me via Discord or email and ask that it be deleted for you.)
• Anyone who's on the Discord can also post to the beta channel! There is a non-participant beta role to help identify people who can be contacted for beta services without risking asking your recip to beta their own work.

Form instructions:

• Name? Your username or whatever you want to be called. If you're signed up to the exchange, make sure to mention your AO3 username.
• What fandoms? We have both subfandoms and crossovers, so if you're familiar with things in the tagset besides just Naruto please let us know!!
• What kind of betaing? For example, spelling and grammar? Plot? Canon details?
• Anything you won't beta? Ratings, pairings, general DNWs — basically anything you don't want to read or don't feel you could help with.
• Expected turnaround time? How much time do you think you'd need to beta something? (Feel free to estimate based on length.)
• Contact? How should creators who want your input contact you? (Email, Dreamwidth, or Discord is probably best — unless you're sure you won't change your tumblr URL before work reveals. Discord handles need to be given in the format Name#0000 if you're not on the event server!)

What fandoms?
For the Naruto fics, I'm familiar with Naruto (original manga continuity), Dreaming of Sunshine, Moonflower and Sanitize.

For the crossover fandoms, I'm familiar with Harry Potter (original novels), Rurouni Kenshin (manga continuity), Persona 4 (including Golden, but not Arena or Dancing All Night), Persona 5 (but not Royal) and Star Wars (original and prequel trilogies) well enough to comment on canon details.

I can at least not get hopelessly lost when reading Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Dresden Files, Final Fantasy VII, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Kingdom Hearts, Marvel Comics (including the cinematic universe), My Hero Academia and Ranma 1/2.

What kind of betaing?
Interested in betaing fanfiction. My background is technical writing so I'm good with spelling, grammar and otherwise making meaning as clear as possible in American English. If you rely on deliberate obfuscation in your work, you'll probably get frustrated with my advice.

Anything you won't beta? Rape/non-con and underage sex (below 18) are hard rejects, I won't even read the work. I'll beta works with consensual sex scenes with adults but probably will barely even skim those parts.

Expected turnaround time? Expect 48 hour turnaround for up to around 5000 words. Anything longer than that or if there are other people in my queue, I'll shoot you an estimate within 48 hours.

What fandoms?
Naruto and subfandoms: Bloodless, Dreaming of Sunshine, Adjustment and Naruto
For crossover fandoms: Girl Genius, ASOIAF, Final Fantasy VII, Harry Potter, Spirited Away, One-Punch Man, Star Wars (both prequel and original trilogies along with Clone Wars and Rebels competently and some basic sequel and EU knowledge), The Magnus Archives and BnHA. If needed I can vaguely understand AtLA and Kingdom Hearts, but not enough to help with canon details.

What kind of betaing?
I can brainstorm and help with plot, as well as do grammar checks (i'm weak with direct dialogue, however.)

Anything you won't beta?
I won't be great for much other than spelling and grammar for pure smut without anything else going on

Expected availability and turnaround time? 24 hours for anything under 3000 words unless I have multiple people or I've been asked to check literary allusions or something- in which case i can dm an estimate or some first impressions if you just want a second pair of eyes.
